Hi there!

My name's Kat and I'm the blogger behind I Write, I Read, I Review. When I don't have my nose buried in a (hopefully!) good book, I can likely be found singing, writing, gaming, doing some type of digital art, or shopping.

When I am reading, I tend to love anything that involves a good love story. Genre usually isn't as big a deciding factor as premise -- what a book is about, what kind of journey the author is promising me.

I started I Write, I Read, I Review shortly after finishing the rough draft of my first novel, Moon Dance. I decided the best thing I could do for myself as a writer was to immerse myself in my genre of choice, Young Adult. I do occasionally review an adult title if I am interested in a book, and these are clearly marked with "This is not YA" at the top.

Aside from books and music, there are two other "loves of my life" that I can show you:

Say hello to Coco and D'Argo, a.k.a. the "Wheats". Coco ("Cocopuff") is a Bichon Frise who is a pigmented albino. I'm not sure if you can see it from the image, but all of his skin -- his nose, his lips, his eyelids, the pads of his feet, you name it -- is pink. D'Argo (Mini Wheat) is a Schnoodle -- a Schnauzer / Poodle mix. Together, they are two very spoiled little dogs who make life much more fun and who sit by my chair when I'm reading, writing, or blogging. I love my babies!

This is my boyfriend, Jay. He sometimes joins me for features here, but gaming is his main hobby, not reading. We've been together nearly four years now. Considering that he's endured a year of listening to me ramble on about Moon Dance and my blog, endured multiple back-breaking shopping sprees at Chapters and he still shows no sign of running for his life, I think I'll keep him. *laughs*
